Cycle to Work Scheme

With a passion to look after our workforce, and when new initiatives become available that are designed to benefit our employees and be a better option for the environment, we are quick to see the benefits and join up.

The cycle to work scheme is a government initiative that allows you to save money on the cost of a new bike and accessories, it is tax free and employees can also claim mileage back for their journey.

Westleigh have become part of this initiative and our HR department are actively promoting the scheme to every site and division, the window for applications is the 23rd of June to the 31st of July.

This scheme is part of the Government’s Green Transport Plan, helping individuals and company’s go greener in their transport planning.

As a signed up member, Westleigh will fully assist our employees join the scheme, the cost can be spread directly from monthly pay saving further tax and national insurance, this would be a saving of between 25% and 35%.

The greatest achievement of this initiative is to get more people cycling, improving people’s health, reducing air pollution and cutting carbon emissions
