Promoting Apprenticeships in the Construction Industry

The Wardian team is keen to promote careers in construction, engage the local community and create opportunities for local residents to work on our project, especially young people.

We are working in partnership with local colleges to encourage students to start a career in the construction industry, and we are targeting 25 apprentices on our project. To achieve this target, we attend local job fairs and meet school representatives and students, explaining what opportunities there are for them.

We have also worked with the local New City College to write case studies on the apprentices working within our team, what their daily tasks and objectives are, and on the benefits to Ballymore of employing apprentices.

The case studies will be used by New City College to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by apprenticeships, in construction as well as in other sectors.

We will share the case studies through our newsletter, webpages and social media accounts to promote opportunities within our team and to demonstrate how seriously we take our commitment to supporting the local community and youth in the construction industry.
