The Broadgate Community Legacy looks to utilise the opportunity of a 10 year redevelopment framework (1FA sites within this) to have a long-lasting, positive social impact on local communities.
Although introduced for construction, it has the ethos that ‘legacy starts at the beginning’ and sets out ways of ensuring that the community benefits it produces continue post-construction.
Education is a key element for focusing on ways to engage young people positively through all key stages, aspiring young people to consider careers in construction. Following engagement with the local EBP, Hoxton Garden Primary School was identified as a partner and a strategic plan developed featuring a series of activities that would support the school curriculum.
