Site Safety Awards
We are proud of our health and safety record here at Dunoon Primary School, but in order to promote a more proactive and safety-aware consciousness throughout our workforce, each month an award is given to the operative who has demonstrated the most care and diligence in respect of the onsite safety of themselves, their colleagues, visitors and the public.
A school site presents a challenging environment to work in, but we are determined to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those working, visiting and using the site. To this end, a campaign was started by site management to foster a more thoughtful and aware workforce, which in turn would result in a safer and more caring environment for all.
The operatives are provided with a list of available health and safety related prizes from which they can choose. We find this promotes a healthy air of competition from our operatives, who are all keen to win each month’s prize!
