Tree Protection

Project Kells is located in Dublin City Centre on the corner of Dawson and Nassau Street, and the project is currently at demolition stage. At the particular junction where the site is located, there are two operating live Tram (LUAS) lines that are a main transport link into Dublin City Centre with a LUAS stop parallel to the site hoarding.

Dawson Street LUAS stop is situated in the perimeter footpath directly outside the hoarding where two protected trees were part of the footpath and LUAS stop prior to the hoarding being erected.

The project required the trees to be protected during all nature of works throughout the duration of the project. The project is currently at demolition phase where Sisk have erected a perimeter scaffold with a wrap protection on the scaffold along.

The wrap is protecting the trees during the demolition phase at the moment along with hoarding to the perimeter the project. To maintain the required footpath width set by the local authority, Sisk have notched the hoarding to facilitate the trees.
