Building Better Health Initiative

Our site team on our Bedford Square Belfast project recently implemented a site Health & Wellbeing initiative, ‘Bedford Building Better Health’. This was a 10 week site fitness programme. The key aim of this initiative was to encourage our workforce to make healthier lifestyle choices, not only on site but at home with their families.

Each week different recipes and nutritional advice would be issued to all site workers which included easy, healthy and inexpensive meals that would be easy to create. In addition, a personal fitness plan was issued with weekly workouts to complete, with advice provided from personal trainers. For example, day 1 would be upper body exercises, day 2 lower body etc.

The buy in from this health initiative was fantastic with huge interest for the latest weekly menu or fitness plan, resulting in a remarkable change in behaviours from eating fry ups to bringing home cooked packed lunches! We now have QR codes as well for links to online workouts and recipes which the operatives can save for later.
