Net Zero Carbon Verified Hoarding System

Panthera Group’s EnviroHoard™ system is now Net Zero Carbon Verified. A first for the UK construction industry, EnviroHoard™ has gone through an extensive cradle to grave Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), in accordance with the European wide standard EN 15804:2019.

Net Zero Carbon, also known as carbon neutrality, requires a detailed carbon footprint assessment, in accordance with national standards. Once this baseline is established, the remaining embodied carbon is mitigated, through carbon offset projects around the world. The carbon offsets were from Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Gold Standard projects and have benefits in all 17 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This balances the embodied carbon emissions, down to Net Zero Carbon.

The Life Cycle Assessment considers the consumption of energy and materials, plus the release of emissions throughout the supply chain, and for EnviroHoard™ this provides the embodied carbon footprint of producing and installing the system.

By choosing a Net Zero Carbon, closed loop wording system contractors can now improve their BREEAM and CEEQUAL scoring, and help stop 20 to 30 year old trees being cut down to be used in the construction of short-term site hoarding.
