Virtual Work Placement Programmes
School pupils across Scotland have recently received Silver Level Industrial Cadet certificates as part of the contractors recent virtual work programme with over 70 pupils completing the virtual programmes since November 2020.
The pupils successfully completed the full 5 week programmes which provided an insight into careers in construction and as part of the programme pupils submitted a weekly report on topics including careers in construction, commercial, design, environment, finance, health & safety, planning and project management.
As part of their final week pupils completed a digital presentation and learnt more about future pathways within the contractor and within the construction industry. The virtual programme has been accredited by the Engineering Development Trust.
The programme has recently been developed further and in April 2021 launches in England and Wales.
