Effective Workforce Development through Mentoring using Cloud Technology

This contractor in partnership with Australian based company Mentorloop, have rolled out an approach to improve mentoring support across the project.

The cloud-based system uses specialised algorithms to provide the best possible matches across the team, creating matches which otherwise may not have been obvious.

It can be accessed from anywhere and provides updates and alerts to both mentors and those being mentored, encouraging ongoing engagement and support, as well as a resource library of useful information and links. To date 68% of the workforce are engaged.

Those being mentored are benefiting from support for career development, building confidence, sharing and developing ideas and additional insight into developing and applying skills and experience on the project

The mentors are benefiting from professional development, passing on skills and experience and supporting staff development.

The contractor is benefiting from identifying opportunities for staff development, developing and supporting positive behaviours, identifying new ideas and improved staff retention.
