On this project they are utilising a simple but effective concrete wash out system for concrete wagons to clean out after concrete discharge.

Making concrete washout much easier, the nappy sack frame is designed to accommodate BlueRinse nappy sack, a self dosing bag which separates the solids, automatically reducing the pH of the water. This is engineered with an oil adsorbent liner, which filters down to 20 microns, the fabric is impregnated with Mudtech pH Blue, which is released into the water as it passes through the wall.

The collected water will typically have a pH below 9. It is then at an acceptable level to discharge into the foul network or across the existing ground. Any solids are kept in the sack until full and then can be emptied and disposed off on site.
