Sustainability Newsletter

To help share best practice, new initiatives and learn lessons from other projects a sustainability newsletter has been created which is distributed around the whole company.

The newsletter includes information such as sustainability performance, detailing positive success stories as well as areas for development. It also contains a number of case studies spanning environmental topics, employment and skills and community engagement, within this section it also names the individuals to contact if people have any questions to ensure that information is easily passed from one project to another.

There are legislative updates to ensure that project teams are aware of upcoming changes and are able to adapt their systems to reflect these changes. The document also contains company alerts and notifications to aid awareness of the project teams in their understanding of sustainability more widely across the industry.

There is also a section about the members of their Sustainability Team so that people within the organisation get to know the team on a more personal level and are aware of the roles and responsibility of the sustainability team.

This document is released quarterly, with two having been produced so far to date and has been a great tool for engaging the project team, upskilling them in their understanding of the environmental issues contained within it and communicating what things individuals can do to take ownership of sustainability.
