Kone Site Flow

Kone Site Flow is a traffic analysis system which this contractor has implemented during construction to boost efficiency in the distribution of people and materials around the building via lifts and hoists to reduce waiting time and improve efficiency in vertical transportation up through the building.

Each operative on site during induction is issued with a Kone Site flow sticker and this is placed inside the hardhat. A number of readers installed onsite on various levels and locations will automatically scan the locations of operatives on site. This information is collated and the data fed back to the Kone team based in Finland. No personal data of any kind is collected through this, only a company name, and job title.

Overall, in addition to improving efficiency and productivity, this  will ultimately boost the morale and wellbeing of the workforce through the reduction in wait times, allowing them to move materials, and themselves, more efficiently.
