Low Carbon Post Tensioned Concrete Floor Slabs

This contractor has collaborated with suppliers to deliver cutting-edge low carbon post tensioned concrete floor slabs for the superstructure of the project.

The post tensioned strand is the first of its kind to be used in the UK and uses a much higher volume of recycled scrap metal material with a significantly lower carbon impact compared with traditional post tensioned strand.

Through smart engineering and the adoption of this low carbon post tensioned strand, an impressive 184 tonnes of CO2 have been saved.
