Senses Awareness Day

While working on this project, the contractor hosted a ‘Senses Awareness Day’ coffee morning.

The contractor invited the Royal National Institute of Blind People and Adapt NI to site, during Vision and Eye Health Month and Deaf Awareness Week, to give site staff an insight into the challenges faced by both impairments.

The charities were very informative, teaching sign language and giving first hand experiences from their daily lives. with Micky the Guide Dog gaining a lot of attention.

In addition to the talks, coffee and cake, the contractor offered free eye wellness checks, carried out by Cathedral Eye Clinic to those that were in attendance.
