This contractor introduced electric stair climbers and competent operators to support the safe delivery of heavy Air Source Heat Pump units during a multi domestic property install.

These units often required lifting to upper floors via multiple staircases, posing significant manual handling risks. The stair climbers reduced the physical strain on operatives, lowered the risk of injury, and improved overall efficiency.

By using electric stair climbers, they proactively eliminated a major cause of strain injuries, improved the safety of their workforce, and streamlined the handling of heavy equipment in confined domestic environments, something not widely adopted in the sector at the time.
