EHA Group, a construction company based in Derry/ Londonderry, Northern Ireland managed to recycle 21,144 tonnes of waste material on one site alone in 19 months.

The site is on Trench Road in Londonderry, a social housing project where 78 houses are being built. The site team recycled the material from May 2017 to December 2018.

EHA prioritise the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice. We believe in each project it is essential to protect and enhance the environment in particular, identifying, managing and promoting environmental issues. At every opportunity, we seek sustainable solutions and minimise waste and resources.

EHA is also committed to the UK’s strategy for sustainable construction, through the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) in association with the Northern Ireland Waste Strategy.

EHA Group uses the Construction Excellence KPI Engine to both monitor and benchmark our environmental performance, including waste management and recycling.
