Acoustic Enclosure Tent

For removing the existing raft foundation, the team carried out a number of different methodologies to reduce noise, vibration and dust from the operation in consideration to the local residents.

The best method they discovered was to encapsulate the works within a large acoustic tent enclosure. This assisted in retaining the dust, noise and vibration inside the work area where force ventilation was used to keep .

Due to the size of the tent once inflated it can fit a robotic excavator inside so it could break the existing raft foundation. The tent purchased was 12m wide x 5m long which inflates using a 110v fan or blower.
