On The Broadway project and within Multiplex, we have worked alongside the Action Counter Terrorism police for some time and have delivered many training courses to operatives regarding terrorism and suspicious behaviour. To further develop and understand counter terrorism we wanted to look at how we review documents such as personal ID’s, Passports and training certification and cards.

With this in mind, the counter terrorism police attended site to deliver document training which taught office managers how to look at fake passports, fake IDs for bank cards and photos.

As we have a lot of documents to review and no knowledge on which documents are real and which are fakes, the training has really helped us alongside our system, Datascope, to spot potential discrepancies via UV lighting and other images which show up only when aware on a passport.

Since undergoing the training, the managers and security team have been more confident in reviewing operatives’ documents and have since spotted some fake IDs and documents which have been reported to the police thus eliminating untrained staff being allowed to work in a high risk industry whilst also stopping fraudulent activity.

The training has given Multiplex at The Broadway more confidence in knowing that the operatives working on our project are able and qualified to do so.
