Advanced Infared Temperature Monitor

On this project an advanced infrared temperature monitor with video capability and zero contact has been installed.

The operative stands on the marked spot and the infrared camera reads the temperature of the operative. When given the green light operatives are allowed onto site. If a temperature of more than 37.5 degrees is given, the monitor flags up red and a warning alarm is sounded.

The sensor is manned by a designated coronavirus security guard to ensure any high temperatures are flagged up before going onto site.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
