Allocated Zones in the Changing Room

Pump House Lane developed a solution to ensure social distancing in the operative changing area. The initiative was to create a zonal system in the changing room.

The zonal system creates 20 shielded zones using lockers and corex as physical barriers. Each of the 20 zones has a separate locker allocated to each trade.

This means that when a trade operative is changing during their allocated time, each operative has their own safe space to change.

A one way system is in place to ensure no mixing of operatives entering and exiting the changing facilities.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
