An Interview with Dame Judith Hackitt – Taking a Stand for Quality

This project hosted a “Stand Down” to watch a commissioned live interview with Dame Judith Hackitt.

A light lunch was supplied and all staff stopped work to watch this moving interview about how the quality of the work has a future impact on the safety of the buildings they create for future generations to come. The recording of this was shown to ensure all sub-contractors understand the important lessons leaned from Grenfell and the recent changes to the Building Safety Act.

Commissioning a world renowned expert in the field to talk specifically to the staff put greater impact into this important subject.

Dame Judith explained that it was the quality of workmanship, the checking and recording that would improve the quality of all future construction. By taking ownership and not leaving it to “someone else” to sort out.
