The INSTA-REEL (by Anixter) consists of a standard wooden reel that has oversized flanges attached to both sides and becomes a payout stand when chocked in place.

The inner reel spins independently of the outer flanges, it is delivered pre-loaded with the cable of choice and delivered completely assembled, it is fixed into position with suitable wheel like chocks. The INSTA-REEL has the following three sizes: 70”H x 60”W, 48”H x 48”W and 48”H x 33”W.

The INSTA-REEL eliminates the need for jack stands when pulling cables. It also reduces the risk of manual handling injuries to staff when handling, storing or distributing heavy reels to work areas, when setting up jack stands and when pulling LV-MV-HV cable off reel. Pulling eyes can be installed on single-conductor cables to ease pulling.

It is also a sustainable product environmentally and economically. After use, reels are returned to Anixter by supplier. Being fully reusable, Insta-reel eliminates disposal costs and lessens the environmental impact of standard wooden reels.
