Appreciation of your workforce

Making your workforce feel valued and appreciated is key and may also act as a motivational tool.

Recognising achievements and hard work is a great way to acknowledge and reward operatives.

Below are examples of how sites have shown appreciation for their workforce:

  • As the project neared completion, the site manager sent a ‘thank you’ letter to all who had worked on the project;
  • Operatives were given incentives such as vouchers to acknowledge their time and efforts.

Some sites also encouraged their workforce to lead a healthy lifestyle, in the form of reward:

  • Free day passes to the local leisure centre were offered;
  • Employees also benefitted from additional family day leave.
