Assisting with a Beach Clean

Auldyn Construction staff join Beach Buddies to remove rubbish from Castletown Beach as part of an ongoing clean up mission for the island’s beaches.

The founder of the Beach Buddies charity, Bill Dale, organises beach cleans throughout the year, removing litter and debris from around the island’s coastline.

He said:

‘Our motto is “It’s not enough to just stand and stare”. Thanks to the volunteers we can help maintain the beauty of our beaches.’

We were astonished at how much rubbish was collected from the beach. A total of around 34 people had turned up that day to help with the beach clean. Each collecting a full rubble sack of plastics/ ropes and other general household waste.
