Audio Safety Communication for Operatives

Safety messages should be reinforced and repeated to the workforce as much as possible, to ensure that they remain alert and vigilant at all times.

Wates have implemented an automatic audio alert system at the entrance to site, to give messages to operatives as they enter:

  • The Hard Hat Audio system comes on automatically when people walk towards it;
  • Hard Hat Media provide a set of pre-recorded messages to select from, such as mandatory PPE reminders, daily high risk activities and controlling risk areas on site;
  • New messages can also be recorded, which are unique to each site;
  • This system has saved many management hours repeatedly reminding operatives of mandatory messages;
  • In addition, this has been used for positive reinforcement and ‘thanks for working safely’ messages to be delivered.
