Bamford’s Waterblade

This project has implemented the Bamford’s Waterblade product across its project as a method of mitigating the environmental impact of its welfare and offices.

This product reduces water consumption and was identified as a valuable contributor to sustainable management by Wates Sustainable Technology Services.

The waterblade is an easy to attach, retrofit adaptor for taps that helps to reduce flow rate of the tap and thus reduce water consumption. By shaping and directing the usual stream of water from a tap, the waterblade improves the ease of washing as well as removing the inefficiency of wastage. Operating at a 2.4 litres a minute flow rate, the waterblade is much more efficient than standard and even aerator taps, leading to reduced consumption of water and reduced expenditure over time.

Attaching the waterblade adaptor to a normal tap takes only a few easy steps, allowing the application of the product to be scaled easily to the projects’ needs. This award winning, eco-friendly product has been recognised a number of times for its water-saving credentials in a variety of settings, and with its ease of implementation, proved to be an excellent fit for the construction project setting.
