Bat Survey

The site team are participating in the Bat Conservation Trust Sunset-Sunrise survey. Our findings are then submitted online to the bat monitoring programme.

As a site team, we were looking at ideas to involve the whole site team, including sub contractors, in projects to do with the environment. We are due to complete the construction of a new primary school which was on a green site, so we were interested to look at how we impacted the environment and wildlife.

Certain trees were identified as housing bats during pre-construction, so we had to alter the design of car park lighting etc. so as to not impact on them. Also, the school are keen on environmental issues so we looked into what we can do to promote this. New pupils are due to start in the school next week so we will also ask them if they would like to participate in this survey as well.
