Belfast Homeless Services

Homelessness is a situation that no one expects to find themselves in, and yet many financial advisers state that most people might be only 3 months wages away from being homeless.

The location of our site being city centre, means that many of our staff pass homeless people on a regular basis, both early in the morning and throughout the day coming to and from work. As a result of this, a few members of staff have come to the site management team to ask if there is anything the site can do to help.

We have recently reached out to the new neighbouring homeless drop in centre – Belfast Homeless Services – to find out what we can do to help them get up off the ground.

Our site management team are in regular communication with the volunteers so that any repair, handyman or maintenance work can be provided. We have also launched our Winter Warmer Appeal with staff to try and generate some donations in the form of coats, blankets, sleeping bags etc.

We hope that this is something that can be quite successful for the site, as it will provide much needed support and donations for some of the local people sleeping rough or families who might also need support.
