Bespoke Chill Out Room

Historically, this contractor has seen operatives taking naps and breaks in the change rooms to find a quiet space, therefore they wanted to provide them with a bespoke and specific place to rest and recharge.

Research also shows that short naps and effective breaks can improve brain function, elevate moods, sharpen alertness, strengthen memory and lower blood pressure. With this in mind they introduced a chill out room, a quiet space where the workforce can rest and recharge properly on their breaks. The room is fitted with soft lighting, tropical images, bean bags, and comfortable furniture.

They encourage all to use the space and it has been extremely well received, often full, and people are experiencing the benefits.

This industry is known for high stress, long hours, and dynamic environments and a stigma also for powering through! This room is a specific chill out room that has been created with input from the workforce on what they would like to see, and it is not a multi purpose room or social space, it’s a specific rest and relaxation space purely for the workforce to do just that and it is fully accessible to all.
