The boundary of this project has a range of live services running around the site boundary, so using the ‘Blocklocker’ system for kentledge protection to freestanding hoard systems allowed them to erect the hoarding on existing ground with no added risk, while maintaining a secure site boundary at all times.
The Blocklocker prohibits tampering of the kentledge system and offers as a form of protection to the hoarding supports.
Furthermore, it acts as an indicator for unauthorised access, use or removal of the kentledge, in that in order to do so, one would have to physically cut through the bags with intent.
With the site abutting a live school and residential housing, maintaining a secure site boundary was a priority for the site team and the Blocklocker offered a visual aid to the secure status of the site hoarding.
