bmJV ‘Spot On’ Cards

bmJV have developed, trialled and implemented a positive recognition and incentive tool, used to recognise ‘above and beyond’ behaviours (not limited to safety) called ‘Spot On’. The system uses scratch cards with every card being a winner with a chance of winning the following:

  • Level 1 – £250
  • Level 2 – £100
  • Level 3 – £50
  • Level 4 – £10
  • Level 6 – £5 (meal voucher)

Cards are issued where ‘Spot On’ behaviours are displayed, and these can be issued to both operatives and staff. Cards are issued by the senior leadership team.

  • Everyone issued with a card is a winner – there are no losers
  • The card allows identification for the subject area and reason for issue so that key positive trends and indicators can be collated
  • The initiative supports the bmJV cultural development
  • Each person receiving a ‘Spot On’ card is considered for the monthly Project Star Award and their name on the bmJV honours boards
  • A ‘Spot On’ Card is not limited to observations out on site but also good ideas and issues raised via observation cards
  • Prizes are payed through amazon vouchers.
