Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a worldwide initiative coordinated annually by Breast Cancer Now.

The week is all about highlighting the importance of breast cancer awareness, education and research.

To support Breast Cancer Awareness Month on your site, you could do the following:

  • Encourage your workforce to take part in ‘Wear it Pink’ day by wearing something pink and donating to charity;
  • Use ‘Wear it Pink’ day as an opportunity to involve the workforce in a fun day with raffles, cakes sales and prizes, to raise Breast Cancer Awareness;
  • Arrange for regular nurse visits;
  • Display Breast Cancer Now posters and leaflets in the canteen and rest areas.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month runs throughout October.
