Bridges to Site to Adhere to Social Distancing Guidelines

On this project, the new teaching block is being built in the middle of the current school.

The students use a walkway to get around the school, which has the site welfare on one side and on the other side is the site.

In order for operatives to get from the welfare area to site, a bridge has been constructed over the walkway.

Since the coronavirus pandemic, a second bridge has been constructed to enable each bridge to have one way traffic (enter/exit site) to ensure the 2 metre social distance rules are adhered to.

This example of best practice is just one way that projects can work to tackle the virus and reduce the spread. For full guidance and the latest Government advice read the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures.
