British Heart Foundation CPR training

First aid training is an important and highly applicable skill to working in the construction industry. There is increasing recognition of it’s applicability for anyone involved in the industry, be it site operatives through to those in site offices or even infrequent site visitors.

Where traditionally, people might shy away from first aid training, the C360 team have fronted up to this mis-perception and taken on the belief held by health professionals: any level of CPR training is beneficial, from certified first aid courses to informal practical sessions.

Using equipment from the British Heart Foundation, including practice dummies and online videos, C360 held four one hour CPR training sessions at Mile End, and Eleanor Street and Rounton Road. The session was open to all on site from sub-contractors to CSJV and Crossrail employees. There were 32 employees trained in total. Specifically, the session involved both information provision and awareness raising concerning CPR, as well as hands-on CPR practice; all based on British Heart Foundation material.
