‘Have Your Say’ Health and Safety App

In April 2018, Sir Robert McAlpine launched the Broadgate ‘Have Your Say’ App. The App is intended to compliment the current card system by providing an additional and more modern method for operatives, and management teams, on site to report H&S observations as well as examples of good practice.

All those attending induction are encouraged to download the App either on their smart phones or tablets. QR codes are located around the site, in safe areas, to allow for reporting any H&S, housekeeping and sustainability issues as well as ideas and general comments.

The App aims to make reporting more easily accessible to those on the four live Broadgate sites as they are able to use it straight away rather than waiting to fill a card out when they get back to the office or welfare facilities.

It also provides SRM with the opportunity to respond directly and timely to any reports that come in as they are emailed to the site management teams to follow up with pop up’s on closed screens to notify them that a report has come in. The App also automatically logs reports onto an online spreadsheet allowing for reports to be recorded, monitored and used for further analysis.

The App has already received over 130 reports in its first three months, approx. 70% more than is received via the current card system.
