Bug Hotel

On a project at Wembdon Primary School – Bridgwater, the site team were keen to set up an environmental initiative to promote good practice on site and also give the school a positive legacy from their time on site.

The site team, with help from their families, noticed an area in the site compound that would be perfect to set up a ‘bug hotel’.

By using leftover materials, which also included a fully tiled roof, the five storey hotel was created.

Since opening, the hotel has had full occupancy, with the top floor penthouse suites being particularly popular!

This has resulted in good community liaison with the local school, while also raising environmental awareness.
