Building bricks for tenants’ drop-in sessions

On our site in Wythenshawe we are working on tenanted properties. We have regular tenants drop-in sessions during the works to update tenants on the progress of works and check if they have any issues/suggestions that they want to raise with our site team.

As many of our tenants are parents a lot of children were present at these sessions. Therefore, we started bringing along a box of building bricks and construction themed colouring in pages to keep the children occupied while their parents talked to us.

They were illustrated with architectural details such as windows, doors, columns, tower clocks etc and was a good way for the children to personalise their buildings.

The colour in and dot-to-dot pictures are from the Ivor Goodsite website with a few others found elsewhere online.

Once they were coloured in- and if the children were happy with it, we put them up around the site.

This was inspired by another examples seen on the Best Practice Hub. The introduction of this reminded operatives of their families at home and what would happen to them should they suffer an accident on site.
