Building Strength to Prevent Workforce Injuries

This initiative is focused on preventing repetitive strain injuries in construction which currently accounts for a third of all construction related injuries.

The contractor has engaged with a former Team GB and current Red Bull Sport Strength & Conditioning coach to develop a programme specifically aimed at reducing repetitive strain injuries in the construction industry.

The overall aim is to reduce lost time due to repetitive strain injuries and extend operatives working career. The initiative was rolled out to the workforce via toolbox talks and posters placed in various areas in the welfare.

The poster detailed the exercises and included a QR code linked to a website that provided access to videos of each exercise.
