Tilbury Douglas on their Prince Charles Hospital project have partnered with Prostate Cancer UK to support it’s national ‘Boys Need Bins’ campaign by introducing sanitary bins and products to all male toilet facilities within their site offices.
To shed light on the partnership and to celebrate Men’s Health Week, they have been working cross-collaboratively with bladder and bowel specialists from Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in the delivery of a men’s health toolbox talk to Tilbury Douglas staff and their supply chain.
The session focused on several aspects of men’s health, particularly addressing incontinence. This included discussing the signs and symptoms, underscoring the available support, and emphasising the importance of having dignified sanitary waste disposal within male toilets.
“The information was thorough and insightful, shedding light on topics that are often overlooked or considered taboo. Given the positive reception and the importance of the topics covered, ongoing education and awareness campaign such as “Boys Need Bins” will be invaluable in promoting the health and well-being of our team.“
