To promote our best practice examples we have allocated a wall in the site office that is visible to everyone that enters the site.
On the wall we have displayed our CCS presentation which is regularly updated. This is so that everyone onsite can see what we have done since the beginning on the project towards CCS best practice, ask questions and make suggestions about what else we could be doing.
When we talk about CCS at our site inductions, we refer to this wall and encourage everyone to take time to read about what we have been doing. It also shows any new workers to site what they will be encouraged to take part in and contribute to.
This initiative helps to:
- Encourage the workforce to participate in achieving the CCS standards and open-up a conversation about what else we could be doing
- Promote the image of construction as positive, engaging and part of the community to all site visitors
- Raise awareness onsite about what we are doing, especially within the community to invite extra volunteers or support
- Displays to the workforce that we are proud to be a part of the CCS scheme and shows how much we value the contributions we make as a team to improving the image of construction
- Helps promote all the initiates that we implement onsite in one place e.g. mental health initiatives, charities we support etc
- Promotes CCS and helps explain what its about to visitors and the workforce
