Celebrating health and safety performance

Lillie Square Phase 1/1a recently celebrated one million man hours worked on the project without a RIDDOR or >3 day reportable incident. To celebrate this the team put on a hog roast for the whole project team. This was well received by sub-contractors, Sir Robert McAlpine staff and clients alike.

The hog roast was used to promote the family and responsible company ethos – Celebrating this health and safety achievement with all those who helped contribute.

Despite this achievement the project understands the importance of remaining vigilant to the risks on site.

Site Benefit:

  • The event was well received by the team and improved the morale of the workers.
  • It further reinforced the benefits of positive health and safety behaviour among the workforce.

Business Benefit:

  • Enhancing the image of Sir Robert McAlpine as a contractor that cares for its workforce.
  • Promoting the exemplary health and safety record of the business.
  • Demonstrating the company commitment to everyone going home safe every day.
