Considerate Constructors Scheme

Charity support

Regular involvement in fundraising or charity work, can have a hugely positive impact upon the local community.

As part of CCS commitment, constructors are encouraged to support local communities and neighbourhoods; building good relations and improving the image of the site, company and industry as a whole.

There are so many worthy causes out there, but choosing a charity which is either localised or important to the workforce is a great place to start.

Charity involvement not only helps to raise money for a particular need, but also can contribute to the community and raise awareness of issues and health risks amongst workers and the public.

Macmillan Cancer Support is a popular charity, and many sites have committed extensive time and resources to charity support including:

  • Fundraising for Macmillan, Help for Heroes, Shelter, and so on;
  • Regular support for Macmillan coffee events;
  • Macmillan posters on site.
