Chicken Coop Design Project

Our local school had vandals attack their chicken coop, which led to the majority of their chickens being exposed to natural predators leading to only two little hens surviving.

As we were trying to take a creative approach on how we could avoid any timber waste on our project, we decided to build a small prototype chicken coop for our new school Wintringham Primary Academy out of left over timber.

In addition, we asked the students to design a chicken coop to house their 44 new chickens, and we will use the leftover timber from the project to build the final version. This was a great opportunity to engage with our end users and encourage the younger generation into Construction.
