ArcelorMittal is the world’s leading integrated steel and mining company, and operates in 60 countries. Every April, the entire company participates in their annual Health and Safety Day, and on the 26th April 2018, they held the 12th event of this kind.
The annual Health and Safety Day relates to ArcelorMittal’s ‘Journey to Zero’ programme, which is aimed at eliminating all fatalities and the lost-time injury frequency rate. The events of the day aim to remind everyone that safety is the company’s top priority, but that individuals can and should safeguard their own health and safety. In many situations, health and safety at work can be severely impacted by our own personal choices.
In May 2018, the company produced a very hard-hitting and emotive video about the fatality of a worker. Watch the video below, and to find out more about ArcelorMittal’s Health and Safety Day, please click on the link beneath it.
