Clean Air Kits to Measure NO2 Levels on Site and Tackle Air Pollution

Our site, Wyndham Park in Grantham, is a locally renowned green area for local residents. Due to the earth works we were introducing plant and machinery to the area, so as a considerate constructor we wanted to monitor and reduce the impact these machines would have on the ecosystem.

To help site combat air pollution, Robert Woodhead Ltd ordered a ‘Clean Air Kit’ from Friends of the Earth, an environmental charity. This carried out all the monitoring we required, and had the added benefit of the donation to the charity.

The kit provides an air monitoring tube to measure the Nitrogen Dioxide in the area, and after two weeks is then sent back for analysis. The kit comes with a user guide, advice on how to tackle air pollution, and when the analysis comes back there is more specific advice and information to help the air and environment to fight air pollution on your doorstep. Not only is it a good way to help the environment locally, it is also contributing to a charity to help the environment nationally and globally.
