The project team has partnered with Clean Air licensees and graphics specialist, Iconic Display, to undertake a year long trial of the Resysten’s ‘Clean Air’ anti-pollution coating.
The spray applied coating has been applied to a series of printed mesh banners and hoarding at the site entrance with air measurement technology also deployed to assess the breakdown level of harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the atmosphere.
This spray can help improve air quality for the workforce and surrounding community whilst also removing greenhouses gases. The Clean Air technology is ISO certified to reduce harmful NOx by up to 15% over a 12- month period, providing an air quality improvement for staff, visitors and the local community.
By removing NOx (which together with VOC’s and CO combine as precursors to the formation process of O3), they are also helping to reduce the volume of greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere that contribute to climate change.
In the first 3 months of the spray being installed, the air quality sensors have seen a 16% decrease in the average daily NO2 level.
