Communication of Safety Information

As operations on site are largely involved in ground works and creating excavations, and as the weather changes, the risks on site have increased slightly. With the possibility of trench collapse, increased lifting operations, new entry/ exit points throughout site etc., it is critical that all staff on site are made aware of the risks and controls that site management have put in place.

Each morning after the Site Supervisor meeting, the notes of the meeting are sent into a ‘Site Supervisor WhatsApp’ group. This is sent through a photo, followed by some bullet points detailing the most critical information. As everyone has access to the site WiFi and smart phones, this is a good way of ensuring that even if information may have been misheard in the meeting, Supervisors are still able to communicate this to their team.

We have found that this ensures everyone’s safety while on site.
