Community Pet Health

Our current works at our flagship site in Loughborough are nearing completion, and with works to the highway at the front of the site, we are ensuring we promote our commitment to the Scheme for pedestrians and road users.

While keeping the community safe, we also identified the need to look after the pets within the range of our site, particularly on the hot days we have recently had. Pets can suffer from stress and heat exhaustion as well as sunburn and damage to exposed parts such as their paws.

We have introduced a pet drinking station and a safe route to walk away from the noise of our works. We have also introduced a pet and people monitor while our re-surfacing works continue, in order to raise awareness of burns to pets’ feet on hot asphalt.
