Community Safety Alarm

At this project the river walkway is very open to the public so following the Sarah Everard abduction and murder, and the subsequent protests, they decided to introduce a community safety alarm system.

They have put up two alarm buttons around the perimeter of the site and if the button is pressed it will set off an alarm in the 24/7 site security hut via wireless transmission and alert the guard to the problem.

Such a system could be introduced on any site that has security guards and CCTV use on its site and perimeter. This would help to make the surrounding community and streets feel a safer place to be.
