Community Use Skip

Whilst working on our Sloane Street, project we noticed that the road and pavement to the rear of the site was often congested with rubbish and unwanted items awaiting collection from our neighbouring shops and residential apartments.

We mentioned this in our newsletter and community engagement meetings, and identified a need for local residents to receive a more reliable way of removing and recycling unwanted items.

We came up with the idea of providing a community use skip which we provide to the rear of our site, adjacent to the residential area and shop entrances where local residents and shopkeepers can place unwanted items and non-hazardous waste, which is then taken away to be recycled by us as a goodwill gesture to the local community.

This has been welcomed by local residents and we have further confirmed in our newsletters that we will continue to supply a ‘community use’ skip weekly on the next phase of the project.
